following number sentences using number line.
i) 5 + 2 =
ii) 4 + 5 =
iii) 3 + 4 =
iv) 5 + 3 =
Answer:
Look at the number line:
(i) 5 + 2
Here, the first number is 5, find 5
in number line and then go forward 2 steps. Then you will get 7. So, 5 + 2 = 7.
(ii) 4 + 5
Here, the first number is 4, find 4
in number line and then go forward 5 steps. Then you will get 9. So, 4 + 5 = 9.
(iii) 3 + 4
Here, the first number is 3, find 3
in number line and then go forward 4 steps. Then you will get 7. So, 3 + 4 = 7.
(iv) 5 + 3
Here, first number is 5, find 5 in
number line and then go forward 3 steps. Then you will get 8. So, 5 + 3 = 8.
